WILD HORSE PHOTOGRAPHY

Every morning is a gift. The world presents itself in a slightly different light. Shadows fall at new angles. Colors shift. Faces soften or harden depending on the stories they’ve lived the day before.

"Ultimately, the film reaches its most resonant truth: in the unbroken wildness of these mythical beings—and in the moments when that freedom is threatened—we recognize reflections of our own lives, our longing for meaning, and our shared fragility".

As a photographer, my work has became a path to access a deep primal bond we share when standing eye-to-eye with a wild creature. To look into the eyes of a wild horse is to discover a story to follow that often resembles our own and brings to light the importance of preservation.

This time around, we will wrap up with a discussion of two production options I offer for my wild horse photographic artwork: flush mounted plexiglass (acrylic) and archival canvas.

From the very moment of his birth, the wobbly-legged colt is tethered to his mother. This reliance is both fragile and profound. He shadows her every step knowing instinctively that her presence is his only guarantee of safety.
