A wild horse's life in the vast, unforgiving desert is an every day relentless battle - from scorching summer sun that bakes the earth to icy winter winds that strip away warmth. Facing constant threats, they’re always alert with their bodies finely tuned for escape and survival.
This demanding existence builds incredible resilience, but it also accumulates a profound weariness deep within their bones and spirit.
THE SHEDDING OF THE DAY'S STRUGGLES
In the thick of such challenging and tiring circumstances, the moments of true rest are an absolute necessity. When a wild horse finally surrenders to deep sleep it's a profound act of release. In these precious, vulnerable hours, all the burdens of their tireless desert life are momentarily set aside.
To watch him was to enjoy his gift of trust and acceptance and to share his peace.
"Release" is the newest addition to the Onaqui Wild Horse Collection.
THE PRICELESS GIFT OF TRUST
Laying down is the most vulnerable position for a wild horse to be. Needless to say, to lie down in the presence of a human is an extraordinary act of trust, a surrender against every instinct honed by generations in the wild.

Every fiber of a wild horse's being is wired for flight at the first sign of threat. To witness a mustang choose vulnerability signifies an incredible level of acceptance. It becomes a transformation of primal warning into assurance of safety.
