"Maria has come to our barn several times - this summer to do  mini session clinic.  While she was here I had her photograph our stud, Gaelic Dancer.  Because I  offer stud services, I like having good shots that show his strengths and personality (which is one of his strengths).  

Maria's horse photography, as art,  speaks for itself, but I cannot express enough how she is able to capture the essence of each individual horse that she photographs.  Somehow, her innate ability to connect with each horse allows her to capture that special and unique-to-each-horse quality that makes him/her personally special to the owner.  I honestly don't know how she does so, but clearly it is a gift.  She highlights the eye, or the look, or the posture, with lighting, position, or focus  and brings to life to the viewer what the owner knows due to their already established relationship.

In addition, Maria is an experienced horse person, knowing how to handle different temperaments in new situations , keeping them calm and comfortable with the equipment and prompts.  She is meticulous about her commitment to make the photo session successful without stressing the horse.
